The conclusion of over four years of work, The Void Boy And The Mountains is a solitary journey through space and time, bass music and ambient, dancefloor rhythms and experimental soundscapes. The tempo varies, but the mood and atmosphere is more-or-less consistent. Inspiration came from a variety of sources, mostly from the array of music I've been listening to, including dark ambient, folk music, jungle, and techno. I sometimes sought to combine these different genres, which is always an exciting challenge.

This is not a concept album, but I still wanted it to have a "story arc", or a beginning and an end point, with a distinct path inbetween. That's why the selection of tracks to be included took quite a while.
The album also has a distinct intro, featuring unusual vocals, lyrics, and processing. The track is important (at least for me), because it's a stylistic bridge between Kauna and my other musical project, for which another album has been in production, parallelly with this one, and I'm really looking forward to releasing that stuff too...
